Where did my website go?

I won’t blame you for not noticing. I’m not overwhelmed by traffic. For the past, 3 years this website has been more of a testing ground for widgets, services or Source: nathan Flickrcompiling information. The end result was an informational junk drawer.

I started this blog with the intention of sharing knowledge and ideas with friends. To say that today, would be describing the general state of the internet. We’re all sharing information, stories and so on. I intend to continue doing so but I’m doing some house cleaning.

So from here’s the plan:

Step 1: Get a Divorce

Separate Twitter feed from Facebook updates. When your Facebook status is just industry articles… it is time to change.

Step 2: Clean Yourself Up

Remove all the widgets/gadgets and plug-ins. It took me over 40 minutes last night to remove all my old Facebook apps, some publishers no longer exist.

Step 3: Finding New Purpose

Posts will continue but I’ve dropped the twitter summaries and other syndications. Everybody shares, some more than others, and it is easy to get overloaded. Going forward, I’ll post more frequently with recommendations and summaries.
