iPhone vs Google Scorecard Update

Last week’s Google IO conference was full of playful and not so playful jabs at Apple. The WWDC, Apple’s developer’s conference is next week. In March Android over took iPhone web traffic. The April mobile metric report from Admob (below) again focused again on Android vs. iPhone.

Here’s the latest scorecard based on AdMob’s metrics:
• iPhone OS out numbers Android 2:1 in the US
• Worldwide the iPhone OS out numbers Android OS 3.5:1
• Worldwide iPhone decreased 3% to 19.2%
• In the US iPhone share decreased 1.2% to 18.7%

Please note Google, creator of Android, officially took control of AdMob on Thursday. A week after the FTC approved the deal.
